While most experienced endurance athletes know the importance of eating and drinking enough calories, some do not consume enough for their sport. When establishing a proper plan for endurance athletes, you still need to factor in exactly which sport they are training for competition. While most people eat to satisfy their hunger and remain healthy, sport is designed to make your body perform its best.

When establishing a diet for an athlete, it is best to consult a professional sport expert.
